Palm Angels and Alpinestars existed on parallel planes that never intersected. Though they share Italian heritage, a legacy of avant-garde expression of sport (Skateboarding for Palm Angels, and motorsports for Alpinestars), they occupied their own worlds: one more form forward, the other more function.
In 2023, that changed, through a shared relationship with the Haas F1 team. Alpinestars has been a technical partner of Haas since its inception in 2016, supplying its drivers and team with race suits and other technical apparel. Palm Angels joined Haas in 2022 as a creative partner and entertainment curator. Through this mutual connection, a conversation began. The conversation eventually led to Palm Angeles founder and Creative Director Francesco Ragazzi visiting the Alpinestars headquarters in Asolo Italy. Out of that visit emerged a bespoke Palm Angels X Haas Money Gram X Alpinestars leather jacket designed by Ragazzi, produced by Alpinestars, for Ragazzi. It was only inevitable that the beautiful one-off would blossom into a more official, consumer-facing collaboration.
In 2024 when Ragazzi and Palm Angels designed a Haas livery exclusively for the Miami Grand Prix, a limited edition Palm Angels apparel line was created to compliment the livery. Within the exclusive capsule collection was version 2.0 of the jacket Ragazzi designed a year prior. It was produced in Asolo in a limited quantity and sold exclusively through the Palm Angels website. The jacket sold out almost immediately.
While this unique collaboration did not technically fall under the RSRV umbrella, it embodies everything that RSRV is about. Organic connection, motorsports/fashion crossover, and a shared appreciation for form, function, design, and craftsmanship. There is nothing more organic and logical than a relationship blossoming from a mutual connection forged at the apex of the runway and the racetrack. It is the embodiment of the RSRV spirit.
