How does the BNS Tech 2 protect my neck during a crash?

The BNS Tech 2 works by creating a solid contact surface between your helmet and the frame during impact. When your helmet makes contact with the support in a crash, the carbon polymer compound instantly dissipates and diverts compressive forces away from your neck and spine, channeling them through the BNS structure instead. This reduces the load transferred to vulnerable cervical vertebrae.

What is the Progressive Force Relief (PFR) rear stabilizer?

The PFR rear stabilizer is Alpinestars' exclusive technology that provides graduated energy absorption during impact. Rather than creating a hard stop, it allows controlled, progressive displacement under extreme loads, which helps manage forces more effectively across different crash scenarios. This system enhances the overall protective performance while maintaining rider comfort during normal riding.

Is the BNS Tech 2 compatible with my motocross gear?

Yes, the BNS Tech 2 is specifically designed for motocross and off-road riding. It features a quick release locking system for easy fitting with MX jerseys and body armor. The carbon polymer construction is lightweight enough for extended riding sessions while maintaining structural integrity. For optimal fit, ensure your chest protector and jersey accommodate neck support systems.

How do I know if the BNS Tech 2 fits correctly?

Proper fit is achieved when the BNS sits flat on your upper back and collarbone area without restricting head movement during normal riding. The rear stabilizer should rest comfortably against your upper spine, and the front should allow your helmet to make clean contact with the frame during forward motion. Consult the sizing guide for specific measurements based on your torso dimensions and riding position.

Can I use the BNS Tech 2 for other riding disciplines besides motocross?

The BNS Tech 2 is optimized specifically for motocross and off-road riding due to its geometry and force management characteristics designed for these disciplines. While the protective principles apply universally, the fit and performance are calibrated for MX body positioning and impact vectors. For other riding styles, Alpinestars offers discipline-specific neck protection solutions.

The BNS Tech 2 Neck Support is an advanced MX neck protector developed for motocross and off-road riders, engineered to help redirect crash forces away from the neck and spine when the helmet contacts the support frame.
Constructed from a high-performance carbon polymer compound and CE-certified, it combines Progressive Force Relief, a lightweight ergonomic design, and a secure personalized fit with quick-release entry for confident all-day riding.

Ultra-lightweight performance: Keeps the neck support easy to wear on long motos while maintaining a low-profile feel on the bike.
Weight reduction: Minimizes carried mass without compromising the support’s riding stability or overall responsiveness.
Low-temperature resilience: Maintains dependable performance in conditions below 0°C for consistent off-road use.
Adaptable padding kits: Lycra®-laminated foam padding and interchangeable EVA foam pads help fine-tune fit and compatibility with body protection systems.
Strap system: Lightweight straps can be worn over or under the jersey for flexible setup and easier integration with MX gear.
Quick-release locking system: Enables fast, efficient fitting and removal with secure closure for practical everyday use.
EVA foam padding: Compressed foam construction helps spread impact force across a wider area while keeping the support lightweight.

Category 2 PPE - CE Certified Under EU Regulation 2016/425.
Designed to help prevent injury in a crash situation by dissipating and diverting impact forces away from the neck and spine.
Functions when the rider’s helmet makes contact with the frame during a crash, providing a solid contact surface that channels compressive impact energy away from the neck and onto the BNS.
Rear stabilizer with Progressive Force Relief (PFR) dissipates energy loads by transmitting them across the back and shoulders and away from the thoracic vertebrae.
Frame geometry promotes improved helmet contact during impact, with a rear support edge positioned closer to the body, additional width to account for different helmet sizes, and a raised chest area to help reduce hyper-flexion.
Compressed EVA foam compound padding helps distribute impact force over a wider area.

Advanced high-performance carbon polymer compound construction provides structural integrity and frame strength against heavy impact energies.
The Size Adapter System is integrated into the chassis for a customizable, secure fit across the XS/M and L/XL size ranges.
Bio-organic engineering is used in the frame design for optimized ergonomics.
The rear stabilizer is connected to the frame via a pivot key and is built into the structure to support progressive force relief and load distribution across the back and shoulders.
Frame geometry is shaped to promote helmet contact during impact, with a rear support edge positioned closer to the body, added width for different helmet sizes, and a raised chest section to help control forward flexion.
Approximate weight: 1,730 g for XS/M and 1,900 g for L/XL.
