From the first motocross boot to the end of the world, Alpinestars boots have become icons of sports, fashion, and film.
The Alpinestars Tech 10 boot is arguably the most visible and most iconic boot in Motocross history. It has stood atop more podiums than any other boot in the sport. It is the latest iteration of a legacy of innovation, protection, comfort, and design that can be traced back to Alpinestars’ early years as a premium performance boot manufacturer.
The original range of Alpinestars boots released in the late 1960s included hiking boots, leather ski boots, and the first-ever boot designed specifically for a new genre of motorcycle riding—motocross.
The first Alpinestars motocross boots reflected the Italian craftsmanship and styling of other boots in the lineup but were enhanced and fortified with calf-high, robust leather, reinforced leather shins, and heavy-duty prong-buckle straps. The boots went through a few iterations before the release of the legendary Super Victory boot in the early 70s.
The Alpinestars Super Victory boot featured a patented stainless steel shin plate that added an unprecedented level of protection, performance, and an iconic aesthetic feature. Throughout the seventies, they were worn to victory by motocross champions around the world.
The Super Victory’s fusion of leather and metal became the blueprint for how motocross boots would look and perform. Whether fresh out of the box or bearing the patina of decades’ worth of hard riding, they look like they perform—unlike anything before them. In recent years, they’ve become an icon of film, and fashion as a symbol of timeless style and the harmony of form and function. This harmony is reflected today in everything Alpinestars does, and the way that harmony is elevated through the RSRV project.
